PAROLE ALERT: Cop Killer James E. Gaskey

PAROLE DENIAL LETTER

I ask that you please DENY PAROLE to James E. Gaskey, inmate #112519. The inmate's violent murder of Patrolman Irvin C.L. Starling in 1975 should preclude any consideration for parole.

On Saturday, February 22, 1975, Patrolman Starling, while honorably serving the citizens of Attalla, was shot and killed by this criminal. Patrolman Starling's murder occurred during a traffic stop moments after inmate #112519 viciously beat his wife.

Patrolman Starling had served with the Attalla Police Department for six months. He was survived by his wife, daughter, and two sons.
