R.I.P.: Lieutenant Anthony J Caliendo (Retired Melrose Park)

--Tony was around for as long as I can remember. He always seemed to be working every time I would see him.  When I was new on the street I used to have coffee with Tony and my brother at Deluxe Grill when they were on midnights. He was a great guy.--

Died: September 12, 2010

Anthony J. Caliendo, 66, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at his home in Naples, FL surrounded by his loving family. He was a US Marine Veteran and an active member of the Marine Corp League of Naples.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Caliendo; two loving daughters, Angela (Dan) Latino and Anjanette (Dave) Gucciardo; two grandchildren, Dominic & Isabella Gucciardo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corp League of Naples, Toys for Tots, PO Box 8982, Naples, FL 34101.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 16, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday morning 9:00-10:00 a.m. with Military Honors to follow before the funeral mass.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 17 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church 28290 Beaumont Rd., Bonita Springs FL, 34134 (239) 992-0901.
